Howlin' Wolf
Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976), known as Howlin' Wolf, was an influential American bluessinger, guitarist and harmonica player. With a booming voice and looming physical presence, Burnett is commonly ranked among the leading performers in electric blues. His song "Moanin' at midnight" made it to #10 in 1951. See also Howlin's website.
A lot of people wonder "What is the blues?". I hear a lot of people saying "The blues, the blues...". But I won't tell you what the blues is. When you ain't got any money, you got the blues. When you ain't got any money to pay your house, you still got the blues...[...]...'cause you're thinkin' evil. And in a time you're thinkin' evil, you're thinkin' 'bout the blues.
